Man Stops For Kitten Trembling In Road, Then Realizes Her Feet Are GLUED To The Ground

Chuck Hawley was driving to work early Friday morning in Salem, Oregon, when he saw something in the middle of the road that caught his eye. As he watched other cars drive over it, he figured it was a box that had blown into the road, but when he got closer he realized in horror that the truth was much more sinister.

There in the middle of the road, cold, wet, and trembling in fear, was a tiny kitten.

Chuck quickly stopped his car, put on his hazards, and went over to help the kitten. That’s when he noticed something that made him sick.

The kitten wasn’t just frozen in fear. Someone had glued her body onto the road.

“When I went to pick her up, her feet were stuck on the road, and I’m like, ‘Uh oh,’” Chuck said.

“Some jerk had spread glue on its paws and stuck it to the road. She was wet and freezing and literally glued to the road.”

The poor little kitten was covered in rubber cement. Chuck carefully peeled her off the road and took her to a local animal shelter where staff used mineral oil to remove the rubber cement from her fur.

As they were cleaning the 5-week-old kitten, they also found puncture wounds on her neck that they treated.

Chuck filed a police report so hopefully the monster that did this cruel act will be found and prosecuted.

Amazingly, the kitten survived her traumatic ordeal and was soon on the mend. But the miracles weren’t over yet.

“The funny thing is, we were just talking about getting a cat a couple of nights ago,” Chuck said. “Seems like there’s easier ways for the cat to find us, but if that’s how we’re doing it, OK. I guess that’s how we’ll do it!”

Chuck and his wife adopted the kitten, whom they named Sticky the Kitty, and took her home with them.

“After a Goo Gone bath and some food and cream, we have a new kitten,” he said. “Luckiest kitten in the world!”

Sticky is now getting used to life with Chuck and his wife and their two dogs, but something tells us she is going to be just fine!

We’re so happy to see Sticky thriving with her new forever family. It is heartbreaking that she had to go through the trauma she did, but now she will be loved and spoiled for the rest of her life!

Are you happy to see Sticky in her new forever home? Then share it!
